OBJECTIVE: Amplify the branding that Budweiser received in Minneapolis from sponsoring the Home Run Derby. (The All Star Game was to be played to in Minneapolis.)
STRATEGY AND CONCEPT: Star Tribune hosted a Home Run Derby contest at the Pourhouse during All Star week. To promote that event, we built a special “Home Run Derby game” that allowed users to play a Home Run Derby game on our site.
RESULTS: The game generated a high interaction rate of 12 percent. Users played the game for over 30 seconds.
